Health and Safety Code § 821.051","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Animal\" has the meaning assigned by Section 821.001.\n(2) \"Animal shelter\" means a facility that collects, impounds, or keeps stray, homeless, abandoned, or unwanted animals.\n(3) Repealed by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1, Sec. 3.1639(118), eff. April 2, 2015.\n(4) \"Department\" means the Department of State Health Services.\n(5) \"Executive commissioner\" means the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 30, Sec. 1, eff.
