Health and Safety Code § 826.044","heading":"QUARANTINE; CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person fails or refuses to quarantine or present for quarantine or testing an animal that:\n(1) is required to be placed in quarantine or presented for testing under Section 826.042 and department rules; or\n(2) is required to be placed in quarantine under ordinances or rules adopted under this chapter by a county or municipality within whose jurisdiction the act occurs.\n(b) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.\nActs 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff.
