Human Resources Code § 112.013","heading":"TERMS.","body":"(a) Members of the council appointed by the governor serve for staggered terms of six years with the term of one-third or approximately one-third of the members expiring on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.\n(b) A person may not serve on the council more than two consecutive six-year terms.\nAdded by Acts 1983, 68th Leg., p. 5272, ch. 970, Sec. 1, eff.
