Human Resources Code § 112.016","heading":"OFFICERS.","body":"(a) The governor shall designate a member of the council to be the presiding officer.\n(b) The presiding officer serves in that capacity at the will of the governor.\n(c) A representative of a state agency may not serve as chair or vice-chair.\n(d) The council shall meet quarterly in regular session and on call by the chair when necessary for the transaction of council business.\nAdded by Acts 1983, 68th Leg., p. 5272, ch. 970, Sec. 1, eff.
