Human Resources Code § 112.048","heading":"PREVENTION PROGRAMS FOR TARGETED DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.","body":"(a) The executive committee shall establish guidelines for:\n(1) selecting targeted disabilities;\n(2) assessing prevention services needs; and\n(3) reviewing plans, budgets, and operations for programs under this section.\n(b) The executive committee shall plan and implement prevention programs for specifically targeted developmental disabilities.\n(c) A program under this section:\n(1) must include a plan designed to reduce the incidence of a specifically targeted disability;\n(2) must include a budget for implementing a plan;\n(3) must be funded through:\n(A) contracts for services from participating agencies;\n(B) grants and gifts from private persons and consumer and advocacy organizations; and\n(C) foundation support; and\n(4) must be approved by the executive committee.\nAdded by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 1209, Sec. 1, eff.
