Human Resources Code § 136.002","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Community health center\" means a nonprofit corporation in this state that:\n(A) provides required primary health services, including:\n(i) basic health services;\n(ii) referrals to providers of medical services;\n(iii) patient case management services;\n(iv) outreach; and\n(v) patient education; and\n(B) has a governing board that:\n(i) is composed of individuals, a majority of whom are being served by the community health centers; and\n(ii) represents the individuals being served by the community health center.\n(2) \"Commission\" means the Health and Human Services Commission.\n(3) \"Development corporation\" means a nonprofit corporation that:\n(A) provides revolving loan funds to community health centers;\n(B) accepts gifts and grants;\n(C) seeks funding from various government and private sources; and\n(D) associates with a broad-based organization serving community health centers.\n(3-a) \"Executive commissioner\" means the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission.\n(4) Repealed by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1, Sec. 4.465(a)(105), eff.
