Human Resources Code § 222.005","heading":"CARRYING OF FIREARM BY CERTAIN OFFICERS PROHIBITED.","body":"(a) A juvenile probation, detention, or corrections officer may not carry a firearm in the course of the person's official duties.\n(b) This section does not apply to:\n(1) an employee of the department; or\n(2) a juvenile probation officer authorized to carry a firearm under Section 142.006.\nRedesignated and amended from Human Resources Code, Subchapter D, Chapter 141 by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 85 (S.B. 653), Sec. 1.004, eff.
