Human Resources Code § 23.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"License\" means a license, certificate, registration, permit, or other authorization that:\n(A) is issued by a licensing authority;\n(B) is subject before expiration to suspension, revocation, forfeiture, or termination by an issuing licensing authority; and\n(C) a person must obtain to:\n(i) operate a motor vehicle; or\n(ii) engage in a recreational activity, including hunting and fishing, for which a license or permit is required.\n(2) \"Order suspending a license\" means an order issued by the commission directing a licensing authority to suspend a license.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1153, Sec. 5.01(a), eff.
