Human Resources Code § 31.041","heading":"RIGHT TO ASSISTANCE NOT VESTED.","body":"(a) The provisions of this chapter providing assistance shall not be construed as vesting a right in the recipient to the assistance.\n(b) Assistance granted under this chapter is subject to modification or repeal by the legislature, and a recipient has no claim for compensation or otherwise because the law authorizing the assistance is amended or repealed.\nActs 1979, 66th Leg., p. 2347, ch. 842, art. 1, Sec. 1, eff.
