Human Resources Code § 32.0249","heading":"MENTAL HEALTH SCREENINGS IN TEXAS HEALTH STEPS PROGRAM.","body":"The executive commissioner, in the rules governing the Texas Health Steps program, shall allow a provider to:\n(1) conduct a mental health screening using one or more validated, standardized mental health screening tools during each annual medical exam of a recipient who is at least 12 years of age but younger than 19 years of age; and\n(2) be reimbursed for conducting one mental health screening using one or more validated, standardized mental health screening tools during each annual medical exam of a recipient described by Subdivision (1).\nAdded by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1028 (H.B. 1600), Sec. 1, eff.
