Human Resources Code § 33.005","heading":"PROCESSING PERISHABLE COMMODITIES.","body":"(a) The department may enter into nonprofit contracts with state institutions or state or private agencies for the processing of perishable commodities to preserve them for subsequent distribution to eligible recipients.\n(b) The cost of processing shall be borne by each recipient on a pro rata basis in relation to the amount of the processed commodities received by each distribution district.\nActs 1979, 66th Leg., p. 2354, ch. 842, art. 1, Sec. 1, eff.
