Human Resources Code § 40.024","heading":"TERMS; VACANCY.","body":"Text of section effective until September 01, 2026\n(a) Members of the council serve for staggered six-year terms, with the terms of three members expiring February 1 of each odd-numbered year.\n(b) A member of the council may not serve more than two consecutive full terms as a council member.\n(c) A vacancy on the council shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.\nAdded by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 316 (H.B. 5), Sec. 29, eff.
