Human Resources Code § 73.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the Health and Human Services Commission.\n(2) \"Department\" means the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.\n(3) \"Developmental delay\" means a significant variation in normal development as measured by appropriate diagnostic instruments and procedures, in one or more of the following areas:\n(A) cognitive development;\n(B) physical development;\n(C) communication development;\n(D) social or emotional development; or\n(E) adaptive development.\n(4) \"Executive commissioner\" means the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission.\nAdded by Acts 1983, 68th Leg., p.1012, ch. 235, art. 4, Sec. 4(a), eff.
