Human Resources Code § 74.005","heading":"DUTIES.","body":"The commission shall:\n(1) coordinate participating agency initiatives that impact the cost, quality, or accessibility of child care;\n(2) consider and start interagency initiatives to expand access to quality, affordable child care; and\n(3) review and recommend actions to streamline existing or proposed regulations, rules, policies, or any other participating agency actions that impact the child-care industry to:\n(A) resolve regulatory conflicts and duplication among participating agencies;\n(B) lower insurance costs for child-care providers;\n(C) protect the health and safety of children participating in child care;\n(D) advance quality education for child-care providers; and\n(E) create consistent, predictable, and reasonable enforcement mechanisms among participating agencies.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1114 (H.B. 4903), Sec. 1, eff.
