Insurance Code § 1110.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Life insurance policy\" includes:\n(A) a benefit certificate issued by a fraternal benefit society; or\n(B) an annuity contract that provides for a policy loan.\n(2) \"Policy loan\" includes any premium loan made under a life insurance policy to pay one or more premiums not paid to the life insurer when due.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 2, eff.
