Insurance Code § 1201.009","heading":"NONCONFORMING POLICY.","body":"(a) This chapter governs the rights, duties, and obligations of the insurer, the insured, and the beneficiary of an accident and health insurance policy regardless of a provision in the policy that conflicts with this chapter.\n(b) An accident and health insurance policy that violates this chapter is a valid policy, but the policy shall be construed in a manner to make the policy consistent with this chapter.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 3, eff.
