Insurance Code § 1201.012","heading":"DEFENSE OF CLAIM.","body":"The following actions by an insurer do not operate as a waiver of the insurer's rights in defense of a claim that arises under an individual accident and health insurance policy:\n(1) acknowledgment of the receipt of notice given under the policy;\n(2) provision of a form for filing a proof of loss;\n(3) acceptance of a proof of loss; or\n(4) investigation of a claim under the policy.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 3, eff.
