Insurance Code § 1351.004","heading":"EXCEPTION.","body":"This chapter does not apply to:\n(1) a group policy of accident and health insurance that provides coverage only for:\n(A) a specified disease or diseases;\n(B) vision care;\n(C) dental care;\n(D) hospital indemnity;\n(E) prescription drugs; or\n(F) other limited benefits;\n(2) a blanket insurance policy, as described by Chapter 1251;\n(3) a short-term travel insurance policy;\n(4) an accident-only insurance policy;\n(5) a hospital indemnity insurance policy;\n(6) a limited or specified disease insurance policy;\n(7) an insurance policy or contract issued under a right of conversion; or\n(8) an insurance policy or contract designed for issuance to a person eligible for Medicare coverage.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 3, eff.
