Insurance Code § 1355.056","heading":"DETERMINATIONS FOR TREATMENT BY A CRISIS STABILIZATION UNIT.","body":"(a) Treatment by a crisis stabilization unit must be determined as if necessary care and treatment were inpatient care and treatment in a hospital.\n(b) For the purposes of determining plan benefits and benefit maximums, each two days of treatment in a crisis stabilization unit is the equivalent of one day of treatment of mental or emotional illness or disorder in a hospital or inpatient program.\n(c) Treatment provided to an individual by a crisis stabilization unit licensed or certified by the Health and Human Services Commission shall be reimbursed.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 3, eff.
