Insurance Code § 1501.259","heading":"RIDERS; FILING WITH COMMISSIONER.","body":"(a) A small employer health benefit plan issuer shall file with the commissioner, in a form and manner prescribed by the commissioner, each rider to a small employer health benefit plan to be used by the issuer, as authorized by Section 1501.252.\n(b) A small employer health benefit plan issuer may use a rider filed under this section after the 30th day after the date the rider is filed unless the commissioner disapproves its use.\n(c) The commissioner, after notice and an opportunity for a hearing, may disapprove the continued use of a rider by a small employer health benefit plan issuer if the rider does not meet the requirements of this chapter and other applicable statutes.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 3, eff.
