Insurance Code § 1803.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Insurer\" means an insurance company or other entity that is authorized by the department to engage in the business of insurance in this state, including:\n(A) a reciprocal or interinsurance exchange;\n(B) a mutual insurance company;\n(C) a county mutual insurance company; and\n(D) a Lloyd's plan.\n(2) \"State agency\" has the meaning assigned by Section 412.001, Labor Code.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 2, eff.
