Insurance Code § 1901.004","heading":"ANNUAL REPORTS.","body":"(a) An insurer that issues professional liability insurance policies covering physicians and health care providers shall file annually with the commissioner a report of:\n(1) all claims and the amounts of those claims;\n(2) amounts of claims reserves;\n(3) investment income of the insurer derived from medical professional liability premiums;\n(4) information relating to amounts of judgments and settlements paid on claims; and\n(5) other information required by the commissioner.\n(b) The commissioner may promulgate a form on which the information under Subsection (a) must be reported. The form must require that the information be reported in an accurate manner and be reasonably calculated to:\n(1) facilitate interpretation; and\n(2) protect the confidentiality of the physician or health care provider.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 2, eff.
