Insurance Code § 2006.051","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Affiliate\" means an entity classified as an affiliate under Section 823.003.\n(2) \"Insurer\" means an insurer authorized to write residential property insurance, including:\n(A) a county mutual insurance company;\n(B) a farm mutual insurance company;\n(C) a Lloyd's plan; and\n(D) a reciprocal or interinsurance exchange.\n(3) \"Residential property insurance\" means property or property and casualty insurance covering a dwelling, including:\n(A) homeowners insurance;\n(B) residential fire and allied lines insurance;\n(C) farm and ranch insurance; and\n(D) farm and ranch owners insurance.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 2, eff.
