Insurance Code § 2007.001","heading":"APPLICABILITY OF CHAPTER.","body":"This chapter applies only to an insurer that:\n(1) is authorized to engage in business in this state, including a stock company, mutual insurance company, farm mutual insurance company, county mutual insurance company, Lloyd's plan, and reciprocal or interinsurance exchange; and\n(2) writes a policy of:\n(A) homeowners insurance;\n(B) fire insurance;\n(C) farm and ranch owners insurance;\n(D) private passenger automobile physical damage insurance;\n(E) commercial automobile physical damage insurance; or\n(F) commercial multiple peril insurance.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 2, eff.
