Insurance Code § 2054.055","heading":"VACANCIES.","body":"(a) The governor shall fill a vacancy in the appointed board members by appointment with the advice and consent of the senate.\n(b) A vacancy in the elected board members shall be filled as provided by the company's bylaws.\n(c) If a vacancy occurs before the date the vacating member's term expires, the successor member shall be appointed or elected for a term that expires on the same date as the vacating member's term.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 2, eff.
