Insurance Code § 2201.056","heading":"AUTHORIZED ACTIVITIES.","body":"(a) A risk retention group may provide:\n(1) liability insurance for assuming and spreading all or any portion of the liability of the group's members; and\n(2) reinsurance with respect to the liability of another risk retention group, or a member of that group, engaged in businesses or activities that meet the requirements of Section 2201.055(a) for membership in the group providing reinsurance.\n(b) A risk retention group may not engage in activities that include providing insurance other than the insurance described by Subsection (a).\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 2, eff.
