Insurance Code § 2602.054","heading":"TERM; VACANCY.","body":"(a) Board members serve staggered six-year terms, with the terms of three members expiring each odd-numbered year. A member may serve more than one term.\n(b) A member shall serve until a successor is appointed.\n(c) If a member other than a public representative ceases to be an officer or employee of a title insurance company or agent, the member's office becomes vacant.\n(d) The commissioner shall appoint an individual to fill a vacancy on the board for the unexpired term.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 6, eff.
