Insurance Code § 36.155","heading":"COMPENSATION FOR ATTENDANCE.","body":"A person required by subpoena to attend a proceeding before the commissioner or the commissioner's designee is entitled to:\n(1) reimbursement for mileage in the same amount for each mile as the mileage travel allowance for a state employee for traveling to or from the place where the person's attendance is required, if the place is more than 25 miles from the person's place of residence; and\n(2) a fee for each day or part of a day the person is required to be present as a witness that is equal to the greater of:\n(A) $10; or\n(B) a state employee's per diem travel allowance.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 101, Sec. 1, eff.
