Insurance Code § 4001.006","heading":"FEES.","body":"(a) The department shall collect from each agent of an insurer writing insurance in this state under this code:\n(1) a nonrefundable license application fee; and\n(2) a nonrefundable appointment fee for each appointment of the agent by an insurer.\n(b) The department shall deposit the fees described by Subsection (a), together with other license application fees, examination fees, and license renewal application fees, to the credit of the Texas Department of Insurance operating account.\n(c) The department shall set the fees in amounts reasonable and necessary to implement this title and may use any portion of those fees to enforce this title.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 7, eff.
