Insurance Code § 422.004","heading":"APPLICABILITY OF CHAPTER.","body":"This chapter applies to:\n(1) the following domestic insurers:\n(A) a stock life, health, or accident insurance company;\n(B) a mutual life, health, or accident insurance company;\n(C) a stock fire or casualty insurance company;\n(D) a mutual fire or casualty insurance company;\n(E) a title insurance company;\n(F) a mutual assessment company;\n(G) a local mutual aid association;\n(H) a local mutual burial association;\n(I) a statewide mutual assessment company;\n(J) a stipulated premium company;\n(K) a fraternal benefit society;\n(L) a group hospital service corporation;\n(M) a county mutual insurance company;\n(N) a Lloyd's plan;\n(O) a reciprocal or interinsurance exchange;\n(P) a farm mutual insurance company; and\n(Q) a mortgage guaranty insurer; and\n(2) all kinds of insurance written by an insurer to which this chapter applies.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 1, eff.
