Insurance Code § 463.054","heading":"ELIGIBILITY TO SERVE AS PUBLIC REPRESENTATIVE.","body":"To be eligible to serve as a public representative, an individual may not:\n(1) be an officer, director, or employee of an insurer, insurance agency, agent, broker, solicitor, adjuster, or other business entity regulated by the department;\n(2) be a person required to register under Chapter 305, Government Code; or\n(3) be related within the second degree by affinity or consanguinity to a person described by Subdivision (1) or (2).\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 727 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 1, eff.
