Insurance Code § 521.151","heading":"APPLICABILITY OF SUBCHAPTER.","body":"This subchapter applies to any legal entity engaged in the business of insurance in this state, including:\n(1) a capital stock insurance company;\n(2) a mutual insurance company;\n(3) a title insurance company;\n(4) a fraternal benefit society;\n(5) a local mutual aid association;\n(6) a statewide mutual assessment company;\n(7) a county mutual insurance company;\n(8) a Lloyd's plan;\n(9) a reciprocal or interinsurance exchange;\n(10) a stipulated premium company;\n(11) a group hospital service corporation;\n(12) a farm mutual insurance company;\n(13) a risk retention group;\n(14) an eligible surplus lines insurer; and\n(15) an agent, broker, or adjuster.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 756 (S.B. 698), Sec. 1, eff.
