Insurance Code § 562.161","heading":"CIVIL PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF CEASE AND DESIST ORDER.","body":"(a) A person who is found by a court to have violated a cease and desist order issued under Section 562.158 is liable to the state for a penalty. The state may recover the penalty in a civil action.\n(b) The penalty may not exceed $50 unless the court finds the violation to be wilful, in which case the penalty may not exceed $500.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1331 (H.B. 4341), Sec. 1, eff.
