Insurance Code § 6002.252","heading":"REQUIRED PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION INFORMATION.","body":"A fire detection or fire alarm device may not be sold or installed in this state unless the device is accompanied by printed information that:\n(1) is supplied to the owner by the supplier or installing contractor; and\n(2) concerns:\n(A) instructions describing the installation, operation, testing, and proper maintenance of the device;\n(B) information to aid in establishing an emergency evacuation plan for the protected premises;\n(C) the telephone number and location, including notification procedures, of the nearest fire department; and\n(D) information that will aid in reducing the number of false alarms.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 730 (H.B. 2636), Sec. 1J.001, eff.
