Insurance Code § 6003.052","heading":"ADOPTION OF RULES.","body":"(a) In adopting necessary rules, the commissioner may use recognized standards, including standards:\n(1) adopted by federal law or regulation;\n(2) published by a nationally recognized standards-making organization; or\n(3) developed by individual manufacturers.\n(b) Under rules adopted under Section 6003.051(b), the department may create a specialized licensing or registration program for fire protection sprinkler system contractors.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 730 (H.B. 2636), Sec. 1J.001, eff.
