Insurance Code § 701.102","heading":"INVESTIGATION OF CERTAIN ACTS OF FRAUD.","body":"If the commissioner has reason to believe a person has engaged in, is engaging in, has committed, or is about to commit a fraudulent insurance act, the commissioner may conduct any investigation necessary inside or outside this state to:\n(1) determine whether the act occurred; or\n(2) aid in enforcing laws relating to fraudulent insurance acts, including by providing technical or litigation assistance to other governmental agencies.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 2, eff.
