Insurance Code § 803.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Domestic company\" means any entity licensed, chartered, or organized under this code, including:\n(A) a county mutual insurance company;\n(B) a farm mutual insurance company;\n(C) a fire and marine insurance company;\n(D) a fraternal benefit society;\n(E) a general casualty company;\n(F) a group hospital service corporation;\n(G) a health maintenance organization;\n(H) a life, health, and accident insurance company;\n(I) a Lloyd's plan;\n(J) a local mutual aid association;\n(K) a mutual life insurance company;\n(L) a mutual insurance company other than a mutual life insurance company;\n(M) a nonprofit legal services corporation;\n(N) a reciprocal exchange;\n(O) a statewide mutual assessment company;\n(P) a stipulated premium insurance company;\n(Q) a surety and trust company; and\n(R) a title insurance company.\n(2) \"Insurance holding company system\" has the meaning described by Section 823.006.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
