Insurance Code § 84.042","heading":"PENALTY TO BE PAID OR HEARING REQUESTED.","body":"(a) Not later than the 20th day after the date the person receives the notice, the person, in writing, may:\n(1) accept the department's determination and recommended administrative penalty; or\n(2) request a hearing on the occurrence of the violation, the amount of the penalty, or both the occurrence of the violation and the amount of the penalty.\n(b) If the person accepts the department's determination and recommended penalty, the commissioner by order shall approve the determination and require the person to pay the recommended penalty.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 101, Sec. 1, eff.
