Insurance Code § 841.704","heading":"FALSE STATEMENT, REPORT, OR OTHER DOCUMENT; CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person executes or causes to be executed a statement, report, or other document required by law to be filed with the commissioner that contains a material statement or fact that the person knows to be false.\n(b) A person commits an offense if the person is an officer of an insurance company that is not organized under the laws of this state and the person files a statement, report, or other document required by law to be filed with the commissioner that contains a material statement or fact that the person knows to be false.\n(c) An offense under this section is punishable by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a term of not less than one year.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
