Insurance Code § 845.108","heading":"ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES; PERSONNEL.","body":"(a) The board may, by majority vote:\n(1) contract for administrative, management, or support services;\n(2) hire an executive director;\n(3) contract with a consultant, an attorney, or other professional; or\n(4) retain other staff as necessary to perform the duties of the system.\n(b) If the board hires an executive director for the system, the board shall delegate to the executive director the authority to hire staff for the system and may delegate to the executive director other duties determined by the board to be appropriate.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
