Insurance Code § 885.056","heading":"ASSEMBLY MEETINGS; DIRECTORS.","body":"(a) An assembly that is the supreme governing body of a fraternal benefit society shall:\n(1) meet at least once every four years; and\n(2) elect a board of directors to conduct the business of the society between meetings of the assembly.\n(b) A vacancy on the board of directors that occurs between elections may be filled in the manner prescribed by the fraternal benefit society's laws.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
