Insurance Code § 885.702","heading":"SOLICITING MEMBERSHIP IN UNAUTHORIZED FRATERNAL BENEFIT SOCIETY; CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person solicits membership for or in any manner assists in procuring membership in a fraternal benefit society that is not authorized to transact business in this state.\n(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $50 or more than $200.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
