Insurance Code § 887.360","heading":"COST OF DEFENDING CONTESTED CLAIMS.","body":"An association authorized to write accident, health, or hospitalization insurance may pay the reasonable costs of defending a contested claim on an accident, health, or hospitalization insurance certificate from the mortuary fund of the association if:\n(1) the expenditure is approved by the commissioner; and\n(2) the association has the reserves required by Subchapter I.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
