Insurance Code § 887.704","heading":"VIOLATION OF COMMISSIONER ORDER; CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A director, officer, agent, employee, attorney at law, or attorney in fact of an association commits an offense if the person wilfully fails to comply with a lawful order of the commissioner.\n(b) An offense under this section is punishable by:\n(1) a fine not to exceed $500;\n(2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed six months; or\n(3) both the fine and confinement.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
