Insurance Code § 981.216","heading":"ANNUAL REPORT.","body":"(a) Before March 1 of each year, a surplus lines agent shall submit a report to the department for the preceding calendar year.\n(b) The commissioner shall adopt the form for the annual report.\n(c) The annual report must:\n(1) demonstrate that the amount of insurance obtained from each eligible surplus lines insurer is only the amount that exceeds the amount obtainable from an authorized insurer; and\n(2) include any other information required by the commissioner.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff.
