Labor Code § 101.114","heading":"FEE RECEIPT REQUIRED.","body":"A labor organizer or an officer, agent, or member of a labor union may not collect a fee, dues, or other sum in connection with membership in a labor union from a person without giving the person at that time a receipt that:\n(1) is signed by the labor organizer, officer, agent, or member; and\n(2) states that the sum of money received is to be:\n(A) delivered to the labor union; and\n(B) held intact until the person has been elected and has become a bona fide voting member of the union.\nActs 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 269, Sec. 1, eff.
