Labor Code § 201.066","heading":"RELIGIOUS SERVICE.","body":"In this subtitle, \"employment\" does not include:\n(1) service in the employ of:\n(A) a church;\n(B) a convention or association of churches; or\n(C) an organization that is operated primarily for religious purposes and that is operated, supervised, controlled, or principally supported by a church or a convention or association of churches;\n(2) service performed by an ordained, commissioned, or licensed minister of a church in the exercise of the individual's ministry; or\n(3) service performed by a member of a religious order as required by the order.\nActs 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 269, Sec. 1, eff.
