Labor Code § 21.152","heading":"CREATION OF LOCAL COMMISSION.","body":"(a) A political subdivision or two or more political subdivisions acting jointly may create a local commission to:\n(1) promote the purposes of this chapter; and\n(2) secure for all individuals in the jurisdiction of each political subdivision freedom from discrimination because of race, color, disability, religion, sex, national origin, or age.\n(b) The political subdivision creating a local commission may appropriate funds for the expenses of the local commission.\nActs 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 269, Sec. 1, eff.
