Labor Code § 301.069","heading":"PARTNERSHIP WITH BUSINESS COMMUNITY.","body":"To meet the needs of businesses in this state and to equip workers and job seekers with the skills required to compete for jobs in this state, the commission shall:\n(1) partner with the business community to:\n(A) identify:\n(i) skills required by the business community;\n(ii) key industry sectors in the business community that are likely to benefit from skill development services and programs offered by the commission; and\n(iii) employment opportunities offered by the business community; and\n(B) develop services and programs that are designed to equip workers and job seekers with the skills required by the business community; and\n(2) support business and community economic development activities of local workforce development boards and the state.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 817, Sec. 3.07, eff.
