Labor Code § 411.002","heading":"APPLICATION.","body":"(a) An employer who obtains workers' compensation insurance coverage is subject to this chapter.\n(b) An employer is subject to this chapter if the employer:\n(1) is not required to and does not obtain workers' compensation insurance coverage; and\n(2) employs five or more employees not exempt from workers' compensation insurance coverage.\n(c) Repealed by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 9.54(b), eff.
